Health Update
Dear Friends and Family,
You may have heard about Kenny's recent health woes and we realise an update is probably due. A few weeks ago, Kenny went back to the hospital in Singapore to have a PET scan. The scan showed that there is a recurring cancer in his nose as well as a small cancerous tumour on his left lung.
As you can imagine, this was not the joyful news that we were hoping to hear and another trip to the hospital little more than a week ago for a biopsy saw Kenny admitted into hospital a few hours later as the bleeding in his nose refused to stop. We thank and praise God for the many that prayed together with us in those few days as the bleeding stopped and Kenny was discharged from hospital in time to rest a bit before traveling to Malaysia for the Out of the Comfort Zone (OCZ) conference.
We certainly do praise God especially for the opportunity he gave for both Kenny and Bee Lee to be involved in OCZ as they saw God move in a fantastic way in the lives of the participants and we continue to pray for them as they head out into various places to put their renewed and refreshed faith into action. Please pray with us for these participants as they head for their respective outreaches that God would use them mightily to impact the world.
Upon returning from Malaysia, it was back to the hospital on Thursday, 14 July 2011 to get the biopsy results. The biopsy confirmed the recurrence of the cancer in the nose but the oncologist is mostly concerned about the spread of the cancer into the lungs so please do pray with us for strength and peace in this situation.
We are certainly hugely grateful to Bedok Methodist Church, who have been incredibly supportive during this time as well as the wider family of Christ who have stood with us in prayer and support through these many years. Your friendship and partnership through thick and thin continues to remind us that our God is the covenant keeping God who promised to never leave nor forsake us.
We therefore press on, encouraged by His presence. Please pray with us that God would also continue to grant strength and rest where needed as Kenny and Bee Lee continue on their travels and ministry.
